Celebrating the spring 2025 opening of RD1 Distillery at The Commons and the even deeper roots we’ve established in Bourbonland, we’re elated to release just 300 bottles of our 12-year Kentucky Straight Bourbon. This tremendous bourbon commands attention at first glance and places it hold on you at first sip.

The Packaging: All Eyes on Me

RD1 steps outside of our portfolio packaging with this one-of-a-kind Limited Release. The product name is etched in semi-precious gold into the crystal, custom bottle. The black-on-black display case features the bold “1” of the RD1 name, surrounded by an artistic mark of the four-plank, wooden fences, iconic to Lexington’s thoroughbred horse farms. Inside the case sits the gorgeous decanter-like bottle, which can be beautifully displayed inside the box or out. Each crystal bottle has a corresponding crystal closure - sized just for that specific glass - packaged snug inside a custom, magnetic box. Upon opening, we recommend removing the travel cork and displaying with the beautiful crystal closure. The case interior tells the story of Lexington’s first registered distillery, dating back to 1865, and the doors these bourbon mavericks opened for modern-day risk takers like us. It’s the same spirit to dare that binds us and pushes us forward.

The Experience: Bourbon Maturity

Warm, rich leather greets you on the nose followed by the distinct effervescence of fountain vanilla cola. Upon sipping, full-bodied flavors of rich oak progress to a sophisticated mouthfeel of spiced peppercorn and stone fruit. The very long finish explodes with savory caramel. Its spectacular balance and diverse flavor arc make this a treasured, first-class bourbon.
