Our two-story, brand destination is located in The Commons, Lexington’s newest entertainment district and features tours, tastings and various unique experiences, all educational, entertaining and one-of-a-kind.

Before your experience begins, enjoy our museum-like lobby at your own pace, learning more about RD1 through interactive displays on our bourbon production, wood finishing process, and bartending recommendations.
Taste our award-winning Kentucky Straight Bourbon and wood-finished expressions through a guided sensory experience. Explore our Forest Room, museum, and interactive displays while learning about RD1’s history, the science of wood finishing, bourbon production, and ways to enjoy each expression.
Taste through the rotating experimental barrels in our Thieving Room and choose your favorite. Then, thieve it straight from the barrel and fill your own 200 mL or 750 mL bottle to take home, complete with a custom label.
Our full bar goes beyond bourbon, with handcrafted cocktails, classic favorites, beer, wine, and mocktails—so there’s something for everyone. Settle in at the bar or enjoy a drink on our spacious wraparound porch. For private parties and groups, discover our hidden speakeasy tucked behind a secret door for a more intimate RD1 experience.

RD1 Distillery at The Commons is open Monday - Wednesday from 11 am – 6 pm, Thursday from 11am - 9pm,
Friday - Saturday from 11 am – 7 pm, and Sunday from 1 – 6 pm.
