Our two-story, brand destination is located in The Commons, Lexington’s newest entertainment district and features tours, tastings and various unique experiences, all educational, entertaining and one-of-a-kind.

Before your experience begins, enjoy our museum-like lobby at your own pace, learning more about RD1 through interactive displays on our bourbon production, wood finishing process, and bartending recommendations.

Our most popular! Taste through RD1’s four rotating, experimental barrels. Then, thieve from your your favorite barrel and fill your own 200 ML bottle to take home with a custom label.
Take a senior-level bourbon course with R&D Master Distiller Dr. Jarrad Gollihue, and try your hand at blending and proofing, and ultimately filling your own 3-liter mini barrel to take home.
From game day to birthdays to happy hour meetings, reserve our second-floor speakeasy space and enjoy privacy, large screen TVs, bourbon and cocktails of course.

RD1 Distillery at The Commons is open Monday – Thursday from 11 am – 6 pm, Friday – Saturday from 11 am – 7 pm, and Sunday from 1 – 6 pm.
