Tasting Room & Gift Shop Experience

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday through Saturday from 10am - 5pm and Sunday from Noon to 5pm. You’re welcome to walk in anytime, but we recommend booking a tasting reservation online to ensure a dedicated time. For additional questions, feel free call us at 859.407.2827 or email us at

How long are tastings?

Our tastings typically last between 45-60 minutes. We encourage guests to take their time to enjoy the full experience. Our goal is to educate individuals on the history and craft of Kentucky Straight Bourbon in a relaxed environment, promoting conversation, storytelling and laughter. Walk-in guests are welcome, but we encourage you to book ahead online.

What is included in the tasting?

During our bourbon tasting, we offer a flight of our 4 bourbon expressions within the RD1 portfolio for $12. You’ll try our 98-proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, as well as the same Bourbon that has been finished three different ways: Finished With French Oak at 101 proof, Finished With Brazilian Amburana Wood at 110 proof, and Double Finished In Oak and Maple Barrels at 99.9 proof. When possible, we also offer guests the opportunity to try some of our experimental barrels with various wood finishings. We live for exploring the bourbon frontier!

I’m interested in booking the Tasting Room space for a private event. Who can I contact?

Wonderful! Our flexible space is ideal for multiple types of events from company off-site meetings to social receptions. Can anyone under 21 come in?

No one under 21 year old is allowed to sample our products. If they are accompanied by a paying adult, they may come and learn about our process and the histroy of Kentucky Bourbon and Whiskey.

Am I allowed to bring my own food & beverage?

We do not allow outside drinks, but food can be arranged for guests. Feel free to reach out to us at 859.407.2827 or for any special requests or arrangements.

Are pets allowed?

While we are animal lovers as well, we unfortunately have a no pet policy at our location for health and safety reasons for both humans and our animal friends.
